I'm not crying, you are!
I have loved this trilogy so much and I'm so sad that it's over. I need a movie adaption now so I can just keep reliving it. Simon and Baz are my favorite couple ever. Most of this book was fluff about their relationship but that's what I wanted after Wayward Son. If that book was a sunburn, this was aloe vera to help it heal. My only gripe was that we ended on Agatha and not of Simon, Baz or Penny. Agatha is my least favorite character and while she has some great development in this book, she is still not in my top three, or even four because of Shepherd, who I absolutely adore.
I think we need the prequels of the first 6 years of Simon's time at Watford so we can have his whole childhood. I would love to see him and Baz tormenting each other while knowing that they have a thing going on in their heads.I'm not crying, you are!

I can't say enough about how gorgeous this illustrations in this book are. I would love to hang some of them up on my wall. The Victorian era fascinates me and also doesn't surprise me that they would use the subtilty of flowers to express themselves.I can't say enough about how gorgeous this illustrations in this book are. Sometimes books like this are really hard to ret because of the injustices that take place, but they are so necessary to see history from the view point if the people who didn't get the chance to write about it. I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I found that the further I got into the story, the more I loved the adventure of it all. Susanna was easily my favorite character and oddity, followed by Sweetwater. Everything played so well together in this book and I'm glad that I found the cover interesting enough to pick it up.I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I found that the further I got into the story, the more I loved the adventure of it all. This book reminds me a lot of the Mary Gentry series by Laura Hamilton, but for teens. The fae always seem to be awful and it always seems to work. I love that the main character is trans because LGBTQI+ representation is really lacking in fantasy books, so this made me really happy. I will definitely keep a lookout for the next book. This book reminds me a lot of the Mary Gentry series by Laura Hamilton, but for teens. The fae always seem to be awful and it always seems to work. While a cute book, the plot with the cast of A Midsummer Night's Dream was a little too on the nose. That particular play has story lines all over the place and I found that this book did too. There was just too much going on for me.

The art style of this graphic novel was great. It's what drew me to this title in the first place. This really has freak show vibes to it, but with a modern day spin. I really liked it and will look for more by this artist.

Just FYI, this is not a romance. This is a sci-fi book with a romantic sub-plot. I really wanted more of the romance and it felt like there should be more with the way the book was sold to me. Also, as a book for adults, the author sure cut to black pretty quick during the one part where things got steamy. I wouldn't have minded that if this was a teen book, but it's not. I wanted to like this book more, but I don't because it just felt misrepresented.Just FYI, this is not a romance. This is a sci-fi book with a romantic sub-plot. I had a hard to me getting into this one, but once we hit page 60, or so, the story really took off for me. The only hard thing was the amount of Spanish thrown in. It wouldn't have been bad if a glossery had been added, but I had to keep running to Google or try to remember my high school Spanish. I liked the story a lot, just a minor problem.I had a hard to me getting into this one, but once we hit page 60, or so, the story really took off for me. I love this book. Spencer is incredibly brave and handles everything as best he can. I really feel for Justice and just want to give him a hug. The two of them together is, chef's kiss, perfect.

This book had it all. War, bullies, hidden skulls. It made for a good mystery and finding out who your real friends are. I loved Jimmy's relationship with his brother. Even when they fought, Jimmy still looked out for him and made sure he was taken care of. The Thomas's were great characters and even though Alun didn't speak much, you could still tell that he cared for the two boys that his wife took in.This book had it all. War, bullies, hidden skulls. Darwin's Dragons is a very fast paced book and I had no problem flying through the pages with Syms and Farthing. I love the idea of Darwin coming across dragons on his trip to the Galapagos and Ms. Galvin executed it very well.

I don't normally go for books written in verse, but this one is powerful. It made me smile and laugh, and frown and cry. It was bittersweet and all about growing up in a world where you don't know where you belong. Reha is strong and she learned that from her mother, even if she thinks her mother doesn't understand what she's going through.I don't normally go for books written in verse, but this one is powerful. I liked the premise of this book, but there were a lot of problems with it. If they had just taken out the part about Daniel having a drug addiction, I think it would have made a world of difference, but it was so poorly discussed that it seemed unfair to anyone who has struggled with addiction. I'm glad therapy was discussed, but when you add up the problems, the addiction, abusive relationships, hiding in the closet, obsessiveness, etc., it gets to be a lot to handle in one book. If one of those were taken out, it would have been better. I really wanted to like this book, but it was just okay.I liked the premise of this book, but there were a lot of problems with it. I liked seeing the early years of the Bronte sisters. I never knew that there were two girls older than Charlotte or that her younger sisters were published before her. I liked the art style and found this to be the perfect length to tell the story.

So here's the thing, I love historical fiction. I picked up this book because of the historical aspect, but I didn't get enough of Leila's story for me to feel satisfied. I needed more and I just wasn't given it.
