I am surprised, not in a good way, by this read. It received an average of four stars on Amazon and I had high hopes for it, but it fell short. The storyline was concise but to its detriment. The author could have gone into more details about the time (WWII) to engross the reader, but it felt forced overall. There wasn't any true heart pounding moments for me. The ending situation with the Mona Lisa read elementary at best.
