Rated 2/10 for Shankar's music. The movie tried too hard to be weird, with the end result of just being goofy.

After watching the film, I would suggest that the viewer watch it again with the director's commentary (part of the extra features package). Also worth watching is Dennis Potter's biopic on Carroll's relationship with Alice. For those with an interest in the history of film, Hepworth's 1903 silent version is also worth a look.

An interesting twist on a classic.
It helps if you know the story.
I would not recommend it to someone who doesn't know the story.
