Boring, to be honest...hard to imagine children sitting through it. Although I've never been a fan of the book either.

The movie has many good ideas, but somehow it just doesn't work. I still like it though, give it 3 stars, a passing grade.

Stunningly bad.
One nonsensical scene after another, exceptionally poor writing, and the most absurd philosophical concepts I've seen in a movie, to date.
Just garbage.
Pure garbage from start to finish.

I never read the book so I don't know what I was expecting. Visually the costumes of the misses were stunning, the colors through the movie were bright and beautiful, I especially like Misses Whatsit.

I felt the search for father was a bit rushed, the whole room thing didn't make a lot of sense and then the battle with IT was just a bit underwhelming. I realize the book was written a while ago, and maybe if I had found it when I was younger I would have liked it more. I am a fantasy fan/devotee. It just didn't connect with me.

Excellent adaption of the classic story. A throughly entertaining, fascinating, and imaginative film with great actors and SFX. I really liked Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Whatsit.

*Spoilers*
The book is MUCH better. The movie had a few agendas, for one the bullying which is important but not a main focus of the book. Having Mrs. What it turn into a flying kale leaf is not the depiction of what I had for her. Aunt Beast is shown very briefly and is not what she is described in the book and doesn't help Meg. Charles Wallace is not adopted in the book and it is implied he may be autistic of which I am disappointed the movie didn't capture. With such a big movement of autism speaks and also learning disabilities these issues are not depicted via the actors in the movie. The interaction with IT in the beach is not in the book and the realm of which IT resides is briefly shown with the community area. This movie was okay. I am glad I saw it on DVD and not in the theaters. Overall it is not a bad movie but not a good adaptation of the book.

I believe this movie is worth a watch, and would recommend it, although it wasn’t all I hoped for.

The visual effects were as I expected; bright and whimsical.

In comparison to the book, introducing the IT missed the mark. The movie did not flow as smoothly as it could have, I believe, due to the fact that they skipped a prominent scene. However, when compared to the previous A Wrinkle In Time movie adaptation, it’s a step in the right direction.

I unfortunately didn't enjoy this movie as much as I'd hoped going in.

One of the main issues I had was with the acting. It seemed sporadic on whether it was good or not, which is why some scenes are really great, while others are severely lacking. I was impressed with how Storm Reid acted at the end of the movie, but some other scenes were just difficult to believe.

Another issue I had was with Calvin. He's this really young boy, and there was a lot of unnecessary and uncomfortable sexual tension between him and Meg, and most of it wasn't even from her side.

I honestly can't say I was impressed by the movie, and I wouldn't suggest a watch unless you read the books.

2/5.

It is very dark. It was pretty at beginning. Than it went downhill not recameneded for kids. They have a kid about 8 years old that turns evil bye something like the devil and they make opra Winfred like she is a God. It was not Disney's best work. If I was a parent I would not let my kid see it. They do not tell you what it is like in the trailer they leave all dark stuff out.
