Cute movie but not as good as I was expecting. Pretty predictable.

A screwball 1963 romantic comedy involving Doris Day lost at sea and her husband James ,who has her declared dead after 5 yrs and he gets married again. But Doris is rescued after surviving on an island and she reunites with Jimmy boy who is insane from being married to a new woman and facing his beautiful wife Doris. Just fun.

Great movie! It'll keep you smiling the whole way as you enjoy the humorous plot, likeable characters and crazy antics. Doris Day and the others are talented and cheerful and a great way to put a positive feel in your day. Highly recommended for everyone who wants a break from all the depressing, stressful "entertainment" out there, but those who don't like cheesy should probably skip this one.

Yep. That's right - When it comes to vintage, screwball Rom/Coms from the 1960s - I seriously think that this utterly unbearable and totally unfunny film really needs to be retitled "You Make Me Sick, Darling!" (asap) Yep. It sure does.

OK. It was irritating enough that this badly-conceived "one-note-joke-of-a-movie" had its idiotic situation milked completely bone-dry - But - On top of that - The totally irksome, scenery-chewing antics of both its two female leads (Doris Day and Polly Bergen) was so downright revolting, all round, that it made my skin just crawl like you wouldn't believe.

Apparently - "Move Over's" story of bigamy was geared to an "adult" audience - And, yet - With the infantile way in which this subject matter was handled - It was one super-dumb bit of story-telling that made the likes of Sesame Street appear risque by comparison.... Hey! I ain't kidding around here, folks!

(*For some distraction - Watch 3-star "Finally" music-video*)

VERY GOOD 1963 light, romantic comedy. Includes special feature that discusses (and shows scenes from) the uncompleted Marilyn Monroe version, along with comparison of style differences between Doris and Marilyn.

Had to look it up, but youthful Doris was about 40 at time of release (doesn't look it). Jim Garner was 35.

I particularly enjoyed the car wash scene with Doris in the car, getting washed - silly, funny!

Movie famous for being the film that replaced " Somthings gotta Give" Marilyn Monroes final movie that never was finished because of her firing/death. Performances are OK but the circumstances surrounding it probably hampered its success.

A perfectly adequate movie, however, My Favorite Wife (1940) has the same plot and is much funnier
