In rural New Hampshire, sixteen-year-old Clair Taylor and her neighbor, eighteen-year-old Danny Stewart, fall into an unlikely relationship as they work together to save Wally, a lovable but mistreated dog kept chained in a junk-filled yard by Danny's cruel father.
I really enjoyed this story and read through it quickly. It was a good heartfelt story that made you eant to hug your dog immediately. It was easy to connect, relate and empathize with the characters. Lots of symbolism in the book as well.
