The plot is actually so intricate that it is hard to keep track of all the personages.
There are stories about a bunch of old radical revolutionaries, hidden bonds and diamonds, many shooting deaths and rough treatments of the heroine. Yes, it is nice to read the names and descriptions of the streets in the Sentier, but the story is too unbelievable, and this book not as enjoyable as Cara Black's other mysteries.

I was just introduced to this series and think it is definitely enjoyable reading. It is fun to read her descriptions of Paris as Aimee, the Investigator, goes dashing around. I would definitely read another installment in the series.

Fluffy beach read nothing to worry your head about. Enjoyable descriptions of Paris though not totally accurate.
