Add a CommentI didn't find the illustrations for the knots as good as other books I've found. However, what it lacks in knots it makes up for in its clear and extensive sections on whipping (tying off the end of a rope), lashing (tying sticks/poles together), and splicing (a more secure way of joining rope).
So while the knots are only mediocre, the book shines in showing these other forms of ropework that are equally useful and important. I would certainly buy a copy as a supplementary reference for knot tying though not my primary or even secondary source.
