The nostalgia factor will be strong for those who are old enough to remember the TV show (like myself) but this updated version also includes some seriously funny moments.
This movie was not good. I thought it would be light and quirky and funny but it was totally overrun with gratuitous graphic nudity and violence that kind of just popped up. Dax's character was likeable and sweet but everything else was too much. The film case says 14A but the movie itself says R and it is. Decapitation and shooting off people's fingers, guy and girl frontal, not to mention graphic sexual language, was not what I expected for this movie. And the story drags on - it felt like 2 hrs. We turned it off before it was done. Not at all what I thought it would be.
Nice balance of real feelings and funny situations. They did the series pound staying to the different personalities playing off each other. A little gore, car chases and shoot'em up. Perfect! Hope there's a sequel.
i thought it was actually pretty entertaining. i needed something silly and light with a little action and it worked for me!
Extremely sexual in nature and violent, and of course the language is that of street thugs. I hope the police officer in Calif. don't act like this! If so they belong behind bars themselves.
what a terrible film!! The original series is head and shoulders above this one. Poor story... who am I kidding ?! NO story worth speaking of, the acting if it could be called that was appalling. Ugh.
Dax Shepard ruined this film. What a bad director, bad (and I use the term loosely in his case) actor. Did his Dad own the studio? Surrounded by good actors with a bad script, yes you guessed it written by Dax Shepard. Yes, he had more money than brains, he thinks that he wrote a comedy but it is a tragedy. Skip it.
agreed
Disappointing, lewd, crude, vulgar and to many "F" bombs. Stunt men on bikes real daredevils.
