Mind Game takes Jane MacGuire back to Scotland where she continues her search for the treasure she's been chasing for years. But now she's being plagued by dreams of a girl in danger. Who is this girl, and what is she trying to tell Jane? And will Jane figure it out before it's too late -- for her and the mysterious young woman? Things are further complicated when Seth Caleb comes back into Jane's life. This time he's the one in trouble, and Jane will find herself pulled unexpectedly into his world as she fights to save him. With the adventure, intrigue, and explosive energy that Iris Johansen fans love, Mind Game is a high-octane thriller that readers won't be able to put down.

The Eve Duncan series when she was a forensic sculptor and solved mysteries / crimes were great. This new fantasy / quasi-vampire direction is ridiculous and a mess. If I wanted to read science fiction I would do so. I wanted to read a mystery and found slave girls and magic mists. Terrible!! Horrible! Never again. Kristi & Abby Tabby

In one word, "terrible".

This is undoubtedly the worst book I've read in a while. Badly written, excruciating plot development, appalling one-dimensional characterization. I could go on but it's not worth my time. Didn't finish. First and last of her books I will read.

I passed over the paragraphs where the characters talk, talk, and talk to each other and then those where the author summarizes and explains the conversations. The story about Cira and the mists of a lake in Scotland were paragraphs used to make the novel longer without adding to the Jane and Caleb storyline. That annoyance along with my inability to suspend disbelief about Caleb's supernatural powers made me think Johansen's Eve Duncan books are not my cup of tea. What kept me reading were some of the escapades in which Johansen involves her characters.

Not disappointing even with the review of previous actions from well known characters. I have read all of them and will continue.

Another great page turner by Iris Johansen!!! This book is full of action from the get go and it features a lot of the characters from the series. It has a very satisfying ending to several stories that have been brewing for a while. I loved it and if you are a fan of this series you will too!!

Good read! Very similiar to her other book as far as story line. Some of the secondary characters are being presented in more detail and brings better understanding of individuals past history. Shows how the past can affect the future.

And how, occasionally , someone comes into your life who makes it so special that we have to acknowledge and celebrate the beauty of it.
