You may think you have seen this film before and indeed you have. There have been several movie versions of this film told over the years including Heaven Can Wait. But the 1941 version is my favourite. Here Comes Mr. Jordan is a supernatural romantic comedy featuring Boxer Joe Pendleton (played by Robert Montgomery) who was accidentally killed in a plane crash fifty years too soon. The new angel in training snatched Joe’s spirit mistakenly and his body was cremated leaving him without a body. Mr. Jordan (played by Claude Rains) the angel in charge must correct their mistake. So he assigns Joe with a new body of a murdered millionaire, Bruce Farnsworth. I don’t want to spoil the entire plotline, but this is one of the best comedies ever made. I knew this was a winner from the very first time I saw it. Highly recommended! @janmarrow1225 of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

A classic comedy, but some of the pratfall style hasn't aged well. Also a sweet romance.

A wonderful classic (several remakes, one by Warren Beatty and another by Chris Rock, don't do justice to the original) well worth viewing. The original from which many similar films, although not as classy, were made. [If I could only choose 4 videos for the weekend, I'd choose this one and Bell, Book and Candle with Kim Novak, Jack Lemmon, and Galaxy Quest and Guardians of the Galaxy.]
