Add a CommentI generally like Cussler's (and Robin Burcell) Sam and Remi Fargo adventure novels. This one is better than most. It includes certain cultural and social issues of importance today. These include the education of girls (and opposition thereto) in parts of Africa, safety of schools, kidnapping girl students by violent gangs, theft of antiquities and the underground market that goes along with that, etc. Great read with lots of characters and whole bunch of subplots along with the main story line. Fun book!
Please get this, and most of your books, in the e format. The only way my husband can read a book is on his kindle with VERY large font. Thanks.
Please add the eBook version to the catalogue as soon as possible. In this age of germaphobia, would rather not read a book others have mishandled.
I have a terrible feeling Cussler’s adventures are going the way of Patterson’s books! They’re getting too predictable! In this newest Fargo adventure there is a brief mention of the Oracle at the beginning then nothing till page 273! Would have loved more on the Vandal Kingdom and more on the Oracle. But it is an easy, safe read!
The Fargos (I have two mouses named Sam and Remi) are Cussler's most likable characters and series since the one that started it all, Dirk Pitt! (But I really like Kurt Austin too!) And it all begin with the Mediterranean Caper! Cussler and his many co-authors are in fine form and at the top of their collective game. Nobody does this stuff better.
