One of the best biographies I've ever read or listened to, to say nothing of being one of the best biographies of Daniel Boone on the market today. If you buy the book I'm told there is also a very good family tree for Boone's family in the book that comes with it. This is a very well research biography and draws as heavily as possible on primary sources. A must read for anyone interested in early American history, frontier history, or the history of the early Native American conflicts.
