Washington insiders operate by a proven credo: when a Peter Schweizer book drops, duck and brace for impact.

For over a decade, the work of five-time New York Times bestselling investigative reporter Peter Schweizer has sent shockwaves through the political universe.

Clinton Cash revealed the Clintons' international money flow, exposed global corruption, and sparked an FBI investigation. Secret Empires exposed bipartisan corruption and launched congressional investigations. And Throw Them All Out and Extortion prompted passage of the STOCK Act. Indeed, Schweizer's "follow the money" bombshell revelations have been featured on the front pages of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, and regularly appear on national news programs, including 60 Minutes.

Now Schweizer and his team of seasoned investigators turn their focus to the nation's top progressives--politicians who strive to acquire more government power to achieve their political ends.

Can they be trusted with more power?

In Profiles in Corruption, Schweizer offers a deep-dive investigation into the private finances, and secrets deals of some of America's top political leaders. And, as usual, he doesn't disappoint, with never-before-reported revelations that uncover corruption and abuse of power--all backed up by a mountain of corporate documents and legal filings from around the globe. Learn about how they are making sweetheart deals, generating side income, bending the law to their own benefits, using legislation to advance their own interests, and much more.

Profiles in Corruption contains tomorrow's headlines.

Interesting read. Does a good job of explaining the various ways politicians become millionaires all while spending their entire careers in "public service". The author only addresses 8 well known pols, but it most likely is a common story for many others of all parties.

about the author from Media Matters For America
“Schweizer has a long history of fudge and nonsense in service to the conservative cause.”

Ronald Reagan once said, "...politics is the second oldest profession in the world and it bares a striking resemblance to the first." Politicians are political prostitutes - they are all for sale to the highest bidder. In the process, if they survive long enough in the political racket, they become wealthy. The author, Peter Schweizer, profiles just a few of the Democrats currently seeking the nomination to run for president, but corruption isn't limited to just these few. They are all corrupt be they Democrat or Republican, conservative, liberal or Socialist. Some are even traitors. This is a hard book to read. Some of the information makes you want to puke.

From Wikipedia
"Criticisms and errors
Schweizer has been criticized for incorrect reporting and conclusions not supported by facts, including in his second book Friendly Spies. Two Sunday Times reporters trying to follow-up on his reporting discovered that meetings described by Schweizer did not check out, that named sources did not exist or could not be found, and that there was no Paris Sheraton Hotel during the time period when the meetings allegedly took place.[38][39][40] Schweizer admitted he overreached in attacking Hillary Clinton's purported role in approving a Russian uranium deal and falsely claimed that then-Secretary of State Clinton "had veto power" to stop the Russian State Atomic Nuclear Agency (Rosatom) from purchasing Uranium One. During a May 5, 2015, Politico podcast interview, Schweizer admitted that "veto is probably not the best word" and "what I meant by veto power was as we explain the process, you know, if somebody objects it kicks in the special investigation."[41] In a 2015 NBC interview Schweizer said that Hillary Clinton did not support a nuclear deal with India in 2006 and that she voted for it in 2008, after donations to the Clinton Foundation. PolitiFact rated Schweizer's claim "False".[42]"

Extremely boring- covers every democrat that ever lived and all of thier business contacts and attempts to use these connections to proove each and every democrat is corrupted. Ther basic thesis of this book is that, by definition, any democrat who is successful in business MUST be engaged in crime

Oh really and just ignore the most corrupt administration since U. Grant? That takes an amazing amount of self deception. How many corrupt Cabinet members have already been forced to resign in the last three years. Just wow!

Reddog claims Schweizer is a proven liar. Absolutely untrue. Schweizer's books are very well documented. He provides valuable insight into the corrupt politics in Washington. Many Washington insiders are multi- millionaires. How did that happen? Schweizer explains. Read this book and find out for yourself. Read any of Schweizer's books. They are very enlightening.

It's wonderful to have the truth come out. Maybe the blind will have their eyes opened, because history repeats it's self, and they don't believe the history of the world. AWESOME read!
