Written with plenty of wit, grit, and snarling candour - "I, Shithead" certainly gives the curios reader a bird's-eye view of the punk music scene as it existed in Vancouver from 1978-1988.
When D.O.A. first emerged onto the punk-rock scene here in town - The crashing, thrashing, gnashing tone of their music quickly propelled them right up to the front of the line as Vancouver's #1 bad boys of grunge-rock.
Competently written by Joe Keithley (D.O.A.'s founder and lead guitarist) - "I, Shithead" is certainly well-worth a read for anyone interested in hearing about Vancouver's alternative music-scene 30-40 years ago.
