This is a very interesting story and well-written. It has some unexpected twists in it. However, I really question the decision to categorize it as juvenile literature. I think young adult would be more appropriate. The "former boyfriends" are all suspected to be more than boyfriends, the pastor is involved in shady dealings spiritually and financially and the main character, a 12 year old girl, has to deal with a mean drunken man. Really not appropriate for young children, in my opinion.
