Love Connolly’s way with language and character development! This book explores deeply into Charlie Parker’s backstory, that he doesn’t even know himself. Also reveals much about the behind-the-scenes and hidden support he has had that had only been hinted at previously.
Probably not the best place to jump into the series, as this really is a deeper examination of topics brought up as background in previous books.

Always entertaining and dark. Focus on Charlie Parker's past and the evil beings that preceded his birth and want to destroy him and those close to him. Strongly recommend you read all 15 books (to 2017). I hope Connolly keeps on writing them.

My first time reading about Charlie Parker. The book was excellently written, but I was disappointed in the supernatural element since I haven't read a book since the end of last year and was looking for more a conventional suspense/thriller book. I do recommend reading John Connolly; he is an excellent writer.

Awsome, as always. Can't wait to read more Charlie Parker.

Another Charlie Parker suspense novel with some new twists and turns, but never going too far from his built up reputation of the hero of the story.
