#Prettyboymustdie sounds very much like a 21st century romcom action packed book and this one time we can judge the book by its title. It stands by its title as it’s a book about Peter (a name most closely associated with the friendly neighborhood Spiderman) but Peter Smith is no less than a hero. He is a genius in computer hacking and was working undercover from the public as well as the US authorities except from his FBI boss Rogers. His cover is blown while working in Ukraine and he is sent to a school for kids whose parents are spies, but since he was also a spy, he pretty much exceeded the requirement. But trouble starts when people from Ukraine find which college he goes to due to a viral picture of him snapped by loved-up freshman girls. But he isn’t going to look #pretty for long if he doesn’t find the hacker blocking all the signals to cell towers around his school and call for help, because he might be smart but the people behind him have been through war. I like how fast paced, action packed and dry humor based this book is, it feels exactly like watching a movie, with one thing happening after another and all the action explained with so much detail. If Kimberly Reid was not an author, she could easily have applied for a stuntwoman. This is one of my favorite books and I only have about 5, one from each genre that I have liked. It has the Catch me if you can vibe mixed with Jack Ryan, with a charming young hero, an out of reach ‘girl of his dreams’, a loyal friend, and a dangerous plot to uncover. This book is perfect for all the action, comedy fans out there, who want to watch a movie without getting a Netflix account! -Manraaj
