Not bad for a Christian historical fiction, which is saying something (I tend to really dislike them). I especially liked the character of Jinx because I thought she was real for her time. The setting, too, was well written and made me feel that I could really see what was happening. There was a little too much tragedy in it for me. If you like Christian historical fiction, try this one as it's better than most out there.
