Highly praised and winner of the Miles Franklin Award, this book was written by a women, originally from Sri Lanka living in Australia who was an editor for Lonely Planet. It tells the story of two people, one who travels by choice; one who is forced to seek asylum, in alternating chapters. It is about travel, tourism and being electronically connected. Although well-written and clever, in the end it is too long and is essentially trivial.
