A little boy has lost his dragon. So, begins his long search through the vast city. Up high, down low, everywhere he goes shows no sign. Even in places where you might expect to find a dragon, he has no luck. This straightforward tale unexpectedly turns out to be not only a simple seek and find type, but a counting book as well. Only numbered objects are represented in colour. The rest of the page is full of incredibly detailed ink creations with a skewed perspective that showcases multiple layers of the city. Each scene features the dragon, hidden from the boy in some clever place, but in one that is easy for children to notice. Simple text lets the reader focus on taking in all the sights. Kids will enjoy the interactive aspects of counting, and will eagerly point out the dragon in a storytime.
