This story was a continuation of her last book which ended on a "cliff hanger". I was curious about why her Dad had decided to go off to Las Vegas by himself so I picked up Kinsella's latest novel to see how she ended that story. It was an easy book to skim read in order to follow the story line and to skip over pages and pages of conversation between Becky and her mom, Becky and Minnie, her four year old, Becky and Suzy, Becky and herself. I thought Kinsella used some interesting techniques in getting her present reader familiar with the backstory and I could see the construction of the story around the touristy things to do in Las Vegas and the surrounding area. It did bring back memories of enjoyable trips to that area. However, for me, I have lost interest in Becky and her shopaholic ways and talk.
